FedEx Bandwidth or Internet Bandwith

If you want to transfer an Image or a video than it is faster to transfer using internet, I specially recommend transferring using Messengers.

But what if you want to transfer several thousand GB's of data?

In this case it is generally faster to use a courier service like that of FedEx. Here is how FedEx comes into action. It's generally faster to FedEx a hard drive than to send the files over the internet. This isn’t a new idea- It’s how Google transfers large amounts of data internally.

Cisco estimates that total internet traffic currently averages 167 terabits per second. FedEx has a fleet of 654 aircraft with a lift capacity of 26.5 million pounds daily. A solid-state laptop drive weighs about 78 grams and can hold up to a terabyte.

That means FedEx is capable of transferring 150 Exabyte of data per day, or 14 petabytes per second—almost a hundred times the current throughput of the internet.

What if we used SD cards?

Those thumbnail-sized flakes have a storage density of up to 160 terabytes per kilogram, which means a FedEx fleet loaded with Micro SD cards could transfer about 177 petabytes per second, or two zettabytes per day—a thousand times the internet’s current traffic level.

Although This shows that FedEx bandwidth is many times more than current bandwidth of internet, Anyhow we won't recommend you to use FedEx for data transmission of multiplayer games because.

  1. Hey Mr. you are wrong here if u will transfer 100 TB of files through NASA Internet then it will only take 2 Min to send their data from one place to another but fedex will take at least 1 day to transfer as much amount of Data.

    1. Anup Gupta,
You are probably not noticing that in this post we are not talking about Speed, but we are talking about Bandwidth.
Anyway thanks for reading and probably sharing this post.
